Abstract
This Regulation prescribes complete standards and requirements aimed to regulate the bathing water quality in surface waters, also establishing all necessary limit values for microbiological parameters and other characteristics of bathing water and the management of bathing water quality in order to ensure the preservation, protection and improvement of the quality of surface waters used for bathing and also contributes to the conservation and protection of the environment and human health on the territory of the Croatian Republic.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.

Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force eight days after its publication in the Official Gazette, except for the provisions of the article 36 paragraph 3 which will enter into force on the day of the Croatian entrance into the European Union.

This Regulation contains the provisions that are aligned wit the following document: (CELEX 32006L0007) Directive 2006/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 February 2006 on the management of bathing water quality and its repealing Directive 76/160/EEC.
