Abstract
This Regulation establishes the types and amounts of toxins, heavy metals and metalloids and other harmful substances that may be present in food.
The food placed on the Croatian market may contain contaminants as: mycotoxins, biotoxins, metals and metalloids, polychlorinated biphenyls, dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls dioxin, nitrates, 3-monochlorpropane -1,2-diol (3-MCPD), accumulated radioactivity (in the form of Ce134 and Ce137), histamine, benz (a) pyrene in the quantities prescribed by this Regulation.
If in certain types of food, after the proper analysis and inspection checks, there are other harmful substances that are not subject of this Regulation, (excluding the pharmacologically active substances and pesticides regulated by other regulations), the food will be considered as officially unsafe.
