Abstract
This Regulation prescribes veterinary examination of animals and animal products for the needs of internal and international trade with European Union member states.
This Regulation shall not prejudice the conduct review of certain regulations, which implement non-discriminatory manner to the bodies responsible for their application.
The provisions of this Regulation shall not apply to veterinary checks for non-commercial movement of pet animals accompanied by their owner or other person authorized by the owner.
The competent authority shall verify, with a non-discriminatory examination of certificates or documents accompanying the animals if the animal meets the necessary requirements.
Veterinary inspections and controls specified in this Regulation shall be performed by the competent authority.
The Competent Authority informs and sends data and other information the European Commission and other Member States.
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
