Abstract
This Decree applies to breeders, traders and processing plants of animals for food production. A national residues monitoring system shall be operated and an annual inspection plan shall be released by the Ministry of Rural Development. The Ministry coordinates the activities of institutions aimed at the implementation of this Decree and collects data necessary for evaluation of the implemenation. Articles 4 and 5 provides for the content of the monitoring plan. Self-control and responsibility of farmers growing, trading and processing animals for food are addressed in Article 6. Control on breeders and producers is carreid out by official veterinarians and the National Food-Chain Safety Office according to the provisions of Articles 7-13. Sanctions for offenders include quarantine measures, forced slaughtering and seizure.
