Decree No. 211 of 1997 of the Government on the General Inspectorate of Environmental and Nature Protection, and on the duties and competencies of regional inspectorates and of national park authorities.

Environmental protection and country planning duties of the Minister are to be carried out by the General Inspectorate of Environmental and Nature Protection and the territorial inspectorates under its direct supervision. National park authorities are responsible for the implementation of public duties regarding nature protection in national parks specified in the Annex. The Annex determines the name and the headquarters of each regional inspectorate as well.
