Decree No. 25 of 1999 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on vegetable and fruit producing and marketing organizations.

The Ministry can recognize as organization of vegetable and fruit production and marketing, business organizations constituted by the producers of vegetable and fruit for the programming of production, storage, and common marketing of their products. The purpose of such organization is to guarantee the satisfaction of demand, in particular what concerns the quantity and the quality, to concentrate the offer and to help the marketing of products of their members, to abate the costs of production and to stabilize producer's prices, to promote the adoption of environment friendly production methods and waste treatment procedures. The requisites for the recognition of such organizations are: minimum 15 members and a minimum annual income of 150 million Hungarian forints. This Decree contains also the administrative proceedings necessary for the recognition of such organizations. The operation of these organizations is regulated by by-laws. Recognized organizations must report on their operation and achievments to the Ministry. Annex 1 lists the products falling under this Decree.
