Decree No. 481 of 2013 (XII.17.) Korm. of the Government on the appointment of public administrative bodies of environmental, nature and water protection.

This Decree is divided into seven chapters. Chapter I determines the administrative bodies governed by the minister in charge of environmental protection. These authorities are the National Environmental and Nature Protection General Inspectorate, local inspectorates (their territorial competence and headquarters are shown in Annex 1), National Institute for the Environment and the National Park Directorates (Their denomination, headquarters and territory is contained in Annex 3). Chapter II appoints the authorities of environmental and nature protection, while Chapter III regards administrative bodies responsible for environmental protection and for the management of protected areas. Chapter IV lists the technical authorities in charge of environmental and nature protection. Chapter V contains provisions regarding further duties of authorities and administrations. Chapter VI lays down rules of procedure and Chapter VII contains final provisions.
