Decree of the Governor Head of Level I Region of Central Java Regarding Establishment of Provincial Water Management Committee of Provincial Region Level I of Central Java (No. 605.3/185 of 1994).

A Water Provincial Management Committee of the Provincial Region Level I of Central Java is established. This Committee shall be a forum for consultative discussion within the framework of coordinating water management within the Provincial Level (art. 3). It shall assist the Governor as Head of Region in determining priority for water use and the regulation of the use and conservation of water resources. Article 5 specifies the tasks of the Committee: (a) to collect, process and supply information obtained from technical units of river basin management and other institutions involved in water policy in the Level I Region; (b) to provide recommendations and/or suggest solutions in connection with supply and use of water, waste water discharge, floods, and digging of Group C materials; (c) to supervise implementation of decisions; and (d) to prepare reports.
The remaining articles deal with structure of the organization of the Committee (arts. 6-8), working procedures (arts. 9 and 10), financing (art. 11) and the cooperation with other water institutions (arts. 12 and 13).
