Decree of the Governor Head of Level I Region of East Java Regarding Establishment of Provincial Water Management Committee of Provincial Region Level I of East Java. (No. 59 of 1994).

A Water Provincial Management Committee of the Provincial Region Level I of East Java is established. This Committee shall be a forum for consultative discussion within the framework of coordinating water management within the Provincial Level (art. 3). It shall assist the Governor as Head of Region in: (a) determining the priority plan for use of water and water resources; (b) determining priority in water use; (c) regulating the use of water; (d) regulating the discharge of waste water and other wastes; (e) regulating the construction of waterworks; (f) other regulating. Specific tasks of the Committee are outlined in Article 5. The remaining articles deal with structure of the organization of the Committee (arts. 6-8), working procedures (arts. 9 and 10), financing (art.11) and the cooperation with other water institutions (arts. 12 and 13).
