Abstract
The Decree identifies the following types of genetically engineered agricultural biotechnology products (hereinafter referred to as "PBPHRG"): (a) animals and materials originating from transgenic animals; (b) fish and materials originating from transgenic fish; (c) transgenic plants and parts thereof; (d) transgenic micro-organisms. On the basis of said classification, different requirements are specified for the utilization of the above-mentioned products. The use of PBPHRG is to be approved by the Biological Safety Committee (KKH), upon favourable advice of the Biological Safety Technical Team (TTKH), according to the procedure set out in Chapter IV. The control of the use of PBPHRG shall be performed through the submission of a periodical report by the person or legal entity concerned, and the supervision of the competent official. The Decree is followed by the models of the following forms: (a) Application for the Utilization of Genetically Engineered Agricultural Biotechnology Products; (b) Genetically Engineered Agricultural Products; (c) Report of the TTKH on the Utilization of Genetically Engineered Agricultural Biotechnology Products; (d) Approval Letter in the Application for the Utilization of Genetically Engineered Agricultural Biotechnology Products; (e) Letter of Denial of the Application for the Utilization of Genetically Engineered Agricultural Biotechnology Products.
