Abstract
According to this Decree the drilling for and taking of undergroundwater for mines and energy purposes is subject to the issue of a licence by the director-General of Geology and Mineral Resources. The licence for the drilling of undergroundwater and the licence for the taking of undergroundwater shall be granted for a period of three and five years, respectively. Further provisions concern (a) the procedure and requirements for the licence application, (b) the obligations of the licensed companies (i.e., installation of proper equipment, payment of fees, reporting to the Director-General, etc.), and (c) the nurturing, control and supervision of the drilling for and taking of undergroundwater by the Director-General according to the procedure stipulated by the same.

Notes
Licences for the drilling for and taking of underground water already issued prior to the stipulation of this Ministerial Decree shall remain valid until they expire.
