Decree of the State Minister of Population and Environment No. KEP-03/MENKLH/1991: Decree on Effluent Quality Standards for Existing Operations.

The standards for various effluents are prescribed in Appendix I-XIV. Appendix XV specifies wastewater quality standards. Appendix XVI explains methods of calculation of effluent standards. Water sampling and analysis shall be regularly performed in laboratories appointed by the Government (art. 3). Monitoring each type of industry by the competent agency is possible (art. 4). Each person in charge of discharge activities shall install an effluent flow meter and record readings daily. Reports shall be sent to the competent agency every six months at the least (art. 5).
