Abstract
This Government Regulation, in order to improve livestock health and production, provides for the control of production, supply and distribution of veterinary medicines. According to this Regulation, the Government carries out research and development activities for animal medicines and products, and encourages private actors to carry out research and development activities. Matters covered by this Regulation concern: purposes of use of veterinary medicines, including: improvement of animal reproduction; classification of medicines; storage and transport of veterinary medicines; restrictions for business actors on the distribution of veterinary medicines and products; registration and quality control of veterinary medicines; issuance of licenses and authorisation; monitoring and supervision.
