Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry no. P.54/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum.1/6/2016 concerning Procedures for Granting and Extension of Permits for Collecting Timber Forest Products or Non-Timber Forest Products in State Forests.

This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of article 26 paragraph (5), article 45 paragraph (3), article 46 paragraph (4) and article 47 paragraph (5) of the Government Regulation no. 6 of 2007 concerning Forest Management and Preparation of Forest Management Plan, in its last amended version, concerns the improvement of governance in the issuance of forest products collection permits and provides access to the community in and around forest areas for using forest products and enhancing sustainability of forests; ecosystem conservation. This Regulation focuses on: collection of timber and non-timber forest products; permits for collecting timber and non-timber forest products; cooperatives; protected forest area. Matters covered by this Regulation include: type, area requirements and permit application requirements; licensing fees and procedure for the issuance of permits; obligations and prohibitions, including: collection of forest products, forestry protection measures; control, supervision and monitoring.
