Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation, implementing provisions of Article 87 of Government Regulation Number 27 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sector, provides for ensuring the quality standards and safety of raw materials for fish processing, in order to increase the added value of fishery products and the competitiveness of the fishery industry. The Regulation defines the following relevant terms: fishery; fishery products; standards; business actors in fisheries sector; Indonesian National Standard Agency; fish processing unit. The Regulation covers the following matters: raw material standards; hygienic standards; handling, processing, packaging and labelling techniques; storage requirements; product standards; standard of test methods; implementation of good fish farming practices; quality of fresh raw materials not originating from polluted waters and not exceeding the threshold for chemical contamination and antibiotic residues; ensuring traceability; compliance with fish health requirements.
