Regulation of the Ministry of Public works No. 49/PRT/1990: Regulation on the Procedure and Requirements of the Use of Water/Water Resources Licensing.

The Regulation consists of 22 articles which are divided into 9 Chapters: Definitions (I); The License to use water/ water resource (II); The Authority for license issuance (III); Procedure and requirement of the application for having the licence (IV); Right, obligation and prohibition to the license holder (V); Modification, temporary cancellation, withdrawal and annulment of the license (VI); The control (VII); Transition article (VIII); Closing article (IX).
Use of water which requires a license is specified in Article 4. Licences shall be issued either by the Governor or Minister depending on the water resource.
