Abstract
This Order introduces measures for the control of salmonella in pigs.
The Minister may appoint a body for purposes of issuing certificates of categorization of pig herds with regard to their salmonella status and may establish conditions for the appoval of such certifying body. An owner of a pig herd shall submit periodically the herd to tests by the certifying body which shsll categorize the herd in accordance with this Order. The Minister may approve, on application, a laboratory to conduct tests for purposes of this Order. Only breeding pigs from categorized herds shall be introduced in other herds.
