Abstract
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Access to Information on the Environment) Regulations 2007 for the purpose of ensuring that Ireland complies with the provisions of Directive 2003/4/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of on public access to environmental information. They amend provision in relation with, among other things: access-to-information duties of public authorities, also in the event of an imminent threat to human health or the environment; guarantees in the case of release of information provided to a public authority by a third party; and an appeal pursuant to article 12 of the principal Regulations.
