Abstract
These Regulations amend the principal Regulations of 1989, so as to give effect to Council Directive No. 93/114/EC and Commission Directive 94/40/EC. Council Directive 93/114/EC, amending Council Directive 70/524/EEC concerning additives in feedingstuffs, introduces provisions governing the authorization, marketing and labelling of micro-organisms and enzymes intended for use as additives in feedingstuffs. Commission Directive 94/40/EC, amending Council Directive 87/153/EEC fixing guidelines for the assessment of additives in animal nutrition, establishes criteria for examining applications for the authorization of micro-organisms and enzymes intended for use as additives in feedingstuffs. Amendments concern labelling requirements.
