Abstract
These Regulations provide for the licensing by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine of the aerial application of fertilisers to forests and prohibit the aerial fertilisation of forests other than in accordance with a licence. A person engaged in aerial fertilisation shall not, in respect of the fertiliser type used, exceed the parameters regarding concentrations and the application set out in the Schedule. No aerial fertilisation shall be carried out in exclusion zones such as aquatic zones, water abstraction points and a European site as defined in regulation 2 of the European Communities (Birds and Natural Habitats) Regulations 2011.
