European Communities (Assessment and Management of Flood Risks) Regulations 2010 (S.I. No. 122 of 2010).

These Regulations introduce various flood management and control measures for purposes of Directive 2007/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for community action in the field of assessment and management of flood risks. They, among other things, provide for appointment of the Commissioners of Public Works as Competent Authority; require all public authorities and other organizations to take appropriate implementation measures; introduce an interested-parties involvement system; and set out a process for implementing flood risk management plans prepared under the Directive and these Regulations.
