Abstract
These Regulations carry into effect in Ireland Community Decisions relating to biosecurity measures to be applied in areas deemed to be at particularly high risk for the introduction of avian influenza. The measures include quarantine, keeping indoors of poultry, notification of suspected circumstances, restrictions on the use of outside waters, keeping poultry separate from wild birds, etc. The Regulations also define powers of authorized officers (including the issue of biosecurity notices) and defines offences.
