Abstract
These Regulations, which implement certain of the provisions of Commission Directives 71/250/EEC, 71/393/EEC, 72/199/EEC, 73/46/EEC, 74/203/EEC, 75/84/EEC and 76/372/EEC adopted pursuant to Council Directive 70/373/EEC, prescribe: (a) the methods by which analysis of animal feeding stuffs is to be carried out for the purposes of the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Additives) Regulations, 1974 and the European Communities (Feeding Stuffs) (Tolerances of Undesirable Substances and Products) Regulations, 1977 (S.I. No. 246 of 1977); and (b) the form of certificate of the results of analyses. The result of an analysis of feeding stuffs carried out for the purposes mentioned above shall be set out in a certificate in the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

These Regulations are amended the European Communities (Feedingstuffs) (Methods of Analysis) (Amendment) Regulations, 1993 so as to give effect to Commission Directive 92/95/EEC which replaced the two-dimensional TLC method of analysis for aflatoxin B1 in feedingstuffs by a HPLC method.
