Abstract
The purpose of the Regulations is to consolidate existing legislation on the methods of analysis in the feedingstuffs sector and to give legal effect to specified Community legislation. Where a sample is taken for the official control of feedingstuffs pursuant to the provisions of: European Communities (Marketing of Compound Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999, European Communities (Putting into Circulation of Feed Materials) Regulations, 1999 European Communities (Additives in Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1999, European Communities (Feedingstuffs)(Tolerances of Undesirable Substances and Products) Regulations, 1998, European Communities (Feedingstuffs Intended for Particular Nutritional Purposes) Regulations, 1996, European Communities (Protein Feedingstuffs) Regulations, 1986, the feedingstuffs shall be sampled in accordance with the methods described in the Annex to Commission Directive 76/371/EEC. The Regulations should be read in conjunction with the Commission Directives.
