European Communities (Marketing of Fruit Plant Propagating Material) Regulations 2010 (S.I. No. 152 of 2010).

These Regulations place restrictions on the marketing of propagating material and fruit plants. These shall be certified as specified by these Regulations. Some provisions also concern propagating material or a fruit plant that contains a genetically modified organism. The Regulations require a person engaging in an activity under the Council Directive 2008/90/EC to register with the Minister. The Minister may attach conditions to a registration. Other provisions of these Regulations concern, among other things, variety identification, labelling, notices regarding remedial action and offences.
