Abstract
These Regulations place restrictions on the marketing of propagating material and fruit plants. They prescribe minimum quality standards and controls on the marketing within the European Union of fruit plant propagating material and fruit plants intended for fruit production. A person shall not market propagating material or a fruit plant that contains a GMO unless: (a) the propagating material or fruit plant is subject to a consent under the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 2003, or: (b) the propagating material or fruit plant is authorized under Regulation (EC) No. 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
