Abstract
This Decree provides that a person shall not place olive oil products on the market unless the product complies with the provisions of the European Communities Regulations (Labelling, Presentation and Advertising of Foodstuffs) Regulations 2002 and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1019/2002 on marketing standards for olive oil as amended by Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1176/2003. The Regulations prohibit the placing of olive oil products on the market unless the product complies with the provisions of the Regulations of 2002 and the EC Regulations. The Regulations also provide for the appointment of authorized officers.
