Abstract
These Regulations provide for the implementation of Community legislation on milk quotas. They provide rules for the sale and supply of milk by producers, the allocation of milk quotas to milk producers and the allotment of such quotas by the producer to milk purchasers. A milk quota shall attach to land used for the production of milk. A milk producer may allocate a quota only to another producer in accordance with Community legislation here implemented. The Regulations also regulate the lease of land with a milk quota attached to it and the purchase of a milk quota by a lessee. Other provisions deal, among other things, with family transactions, early retirement, the trade in milk quotas, the allocation of unused quotas, approval of milk purchasers, registration, reporting and inspection.
