Abstract

These Regulations give partial effect to Community legislation on official control on (imports of) food of non-animal origin. They, among other things: designate the competent authority for the purposes of EC Regulation 669/2009 and Chapter V of Title II of EC Regulation 882/2004; provide rules for import of food for purposes of control; and provide with respect to fees and sanctions.

Notes

These Regulations revoke the European Communities (Emergency Measures regarding Chilli and Chilli Products) Regulations 2004.A word or expression which is used in these Regulations and which is also used in the EC Regulations here implemented or in Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council has, unless the context otherwise requires, the same meaning in these Regulations as it has in the EC Regulations or in Regulation (EC) No. 178/20002.
