Abstract
These Regulations amend the European Communities (Official Controls on the Import of Food of Non-Animal Origin) Regulations 2010 so as to give effect to Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No. 294/2012 amending Annex 1 to Regulation (EC) No. 669/2009 implementing Regulation (EC) No. 882/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards the increased level of official controls on imports of certain feed and food of non-animal origin. They also give further effect to Regulation (EC) No. 669/2009 and Commission Regulation (EU) No. 212/2010. The amendments concern, among other things, the competent authority for purposes of EC legislation and these Regulations and exchange of information.
