Abstract
These Regulations, which give legal effect to a number of Council Directives concerning, inter alia, trade in animal semen, provide for the removal of the licensing requirement set out in the Livestock (Artificial Insemination) Act, 1947 where semen is imported or exported for the purposes of the Directives. In these Regulations "semen" means the ejaculate of cattle, water buffalo, equidae, sheep, goats and swine.
