Abstract
This Directive lays down the animal health conditions applicable to intra-Community trade in and imports from third countries of deep-frozen semen of domestic animals of the bovine species. Each Member State shall ensure that only semen meeting the general conditions set in this Directive is sent from its territory to the territory of another Member State. Under Annex A are set the conditions for the approval of semen collection centres. Annex B regards the conditions applying to the movement of animals into approved semen collection centres; Annex C conditions which semen collected at approved centres must satisfy for the purposes of intra-Community trade and finally Annex D rules for the animal health certificate.
