European Union (Biocidal Products) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 427 of 2013).

These Regulations set down the requirements and conditions relating to the authorisation and registration of biocidal products, which must be complied with in relation to the placing of such products on the market and their usage, in accordance with European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) No. 528/2012. Use and placing on the market of biocidal products shall be in accordance with specified EC legislation. In addition, the Regulations set down the requirements which must be met for articles treated with biocidal products that are intended to be placed on the market, together with associated enforcement and financial provisions. The Minister may establish a Biocidal Products Register where he or she may enter an authorised, notified or permitted biocidal product. The Regulations also provide for the issue of Compliance Notices.
