Abstract

These Regulations specify the requirements and conditions for the authorisation and registration of biocidal products, which must be complied with in relation to their placing on the market and use, in accordance with European Parliament and Council Directive 98/8/EC, as well as introducing relevant enforcement and financial provisions. In addition, the Regulations specify the transitional arrangements for the placing on the market and use of biocidal products pending their authorisation or registration in accordance with the Regulations.
