European Union (Energy Efficiency) Regulations 2014 (S.I. No. 426 of 2014).

These Regulations, among other things: (a) impose obligations on public bodies relating to the efficient use of energy; (b) require the publication of minimum criteria for energy audits and the establishment of a National Registration Scheme for the registration of energy auditors; (c) require that an assessment of the availability of qualification, accreditation and certification schemes for energy audits be undertaken; (d) set out other requirements and measures relating to energy efficiency in heat and power generation such as the issuance of a guarantee of origin.
