European Union (Plastics and other materials) (Contact with food) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 (S.I. No. 278 of 2019).

These Regulations amend the European Union (Plastics and other materials) (Contact with food) Regulations 2017 to take account of developments at EU level (amendments of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011). They amend the principal Regulations by the substitution, in Regulation 4 (12) (inserted by the European Union (Plastics and other materials) (Contact with Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2018), for “5 years” of “3 years”, and (c) by the substitution, in Regulation 13 (1) (inserted by the European Union (Plastics and other materials) (Contact with Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2018), for “5 years” of “3 years”. The amended provisions concern offences against the principal Regulations (manufacture, import etc. that does not comply with them) and Regulation (EC) No. 1935/2004.
