Abstract
These Regulations place restrictions on the landing of monkfish by Irish fishing boats. They establish landing controls for all Irish seafishing boats fishing for monkfish and establish designated ports of landing for all Irish and foreign boats landing more than 750 kg of monkfish. Landing of a quantity of monkfish in excess of 150 kilograms shall be notified by the master of the vessels and may require approval of the sea-fisheries protection officer. The master of an Irish sea-fishing boat, wherever it may be, shall ensure that monkfish is stored separately from other fish retained on board the seafishing boat and is displayed on the vessel stowage plan.
