Abstract
The effect of this Order is to establish a licensing regime for the fishing of a range of deep-sea species included in the list in Annex I of the Council Regulation. Various species have quotas allocated for them by the European Community to Member States. The Order also provides for additional control measures as well as collection of additional data on deep-sea species.
