Velvet Crab (Conservation of Stocks) Regulations 2017 (S.I. No. 431 of 2017).

These Regulations introduce a Velvet Crab Minimum Landing Size. They prohibit the having on board by Irish fishing boats of velvet crab the carapace size of which is less than 65 millimetres. Such crabs are to be carefully handled and returned alive to the sea without delay.
The Regulations also prohibit the handling, transshipping, transporting, landing, processing, storing or selling any velvet crab to which these Regulations apply taken in the specified area.
