Abstract
These Regulations amend the Waste Management (Batteries and Accumulators) Regulations 2008 by providing for carrying into effect of European Parliament and Council Directive 2008/103/EC amending Directive 2006/66/EC on batteries and accumulators and waste batteries and accumulators as regards placing batteries and accumulators on the market and by amending regulation 5 prohibiting the placing on the market of batteries containing specified hazardous substances or inappropriately labelled.
