Abstract
These Regulations prohibit the having on board by Irish fishing boats in the "specified area" i.e. the parts of the sea described in the Annex to the Communication and therein referred to as ICES Sub-area VI and Sub-area VII of whelk whose diameter is less than 25 millimetres across its broadest part.
They also prohibit the use of an Irish sea-fishing boat for the landing or transhipment of whelk to which these Regulations apply taken in the specified area and the displaying, sale, offering for sale or storing for the purposes of selling any whelk to which these Regulations apply. Such whelk shall be returned alive to the sea.
