Abstract
This Regulation, composed of 5 sections and one Annex, gives definitions and establishes conditions for animal transportation in Israel. Section 1 gives definitions. Section 2 regards animal transportation permits procedures. The Director of the Veterinarian Services, in case of an imminent animal disease eruption, has the power to order not to transfer or transport any animal from within the borders of a local authority or from one local authority to another, unless authorized by the government veterinarian doctor. Section 3 lists conditions for transporting animals. A) The vehicle must be registered as one for animal transportation. B) the vehicle has signs on both sides of it reporting the words “Animal Transportation”. C) written authorization, if needed as in section (2), must be in vehicle. Section 4 regards vehicle registration procedures. Section 5 gives general information.
