Abstract
These Regulations prescribe provisions to comply with for the importation of meat. In the first two sections provisions are given for the licensing of slaughter houses and the granting of permits for meat importation by the Director of the Veterinary Services. Sections 4 and 5 prescribe that a consignment of imported meat should be examined according to the Director instructions upon offloading and transfer to cold storage. According to sections 6 and 7 a meat importation can be released to be marketed, returned to the country of origin or destroyed, in accordance with the Authority inspection instructions. Sections 8 and 9 deal with fees to be paid for the Certificate of Release.

These Regulaions enter into force 15 days after publication.
Notes
These Regulations repeal the Regulations on the Restriction of the Importation of Meat, 1945. They have been amended in the Official Gazette, April 22, 1993.
