Abstract
This Ordinance, making provisions with respect to animal diseases, establishes the obligation to inform any appointed authority about infected animals and take steps (sects. 2-5), such as burial, destruction or disposal of anything that may have been exposed to infection or contagion of any animal disease. The Director of the Veterinary Services may serve a notice on the owner or the occupier of any infected area and make provisions concerning such place, material, animals or products, (sects. 6a, 6b, 7). Section 8 prohibits vaccination with animal serum save with the written approval of the Authority and any vaccination shall be charged according to specified rates (sect. 10). Violation of provisions is liable to prosecution (sect. 9).

These Regulations may be cited as "Animal Diseases (Foot and Mouth Diseases Rules)". They revoke Animal Diseases (Foot and Mouth Diseases) Rules. They have been published in Kovetz Ha-Takanot No. 960 of 29 November 1959, p 227: amended on 6 April 1961; 28 June 1962; 25 October 1962 and December 1985.
