Abstract
This Document gives definitions and establishes conditions for the marketing of fruits in Israel. Section (1) gives definitions. Section (2) establishes that fruits will be marketed exclusively by the Fruit Board or by an Authorized Marketing Agent. Section (3) sets the authorization period for a marketing agent to finish on December 31 of each year. Section (4) to (6) and (11) provide for marketing authorization obtaining conditions, its renewal and cases in which an authorization may be abrogated or refused. Section (7) to (9) deal with marketing authorization conditions for Bananas, Pecan nuts and Almonds. Section (10) provides for appeals procedures in case a marketing agent authorization request has been refused. Section (12) establishes that a marketing agent’s authorization is not passable to another unless a written request has been sent to the Fruit Board and an authorization has been obtained. Section (13) gives general information.
