Abstract
This Document, composed of 15 sections, gives definitions and makes provisions for the commercial supervision for Groundnuts. Section 1 defines groundnuts as unpeeled groundnuts. A grower must pass his groundnuts crop only after drying procedure has terminated and nuts humidity must not exceed 9 percent. An authorized contractor, in accordance with the grower, may receive a nuts crop that is not properly dried for then proceed with drying operations by him. Section 2 an authorized contractor shall hold a nuts shipment only in an Authorized warehouse. Section 3 provides for appeal procedures regarding unauthorized warehouses. Section 4 deals with sorting procedures. An authorized contractor shall sort, label and pack the nuts in his possession in containers according to the Councils indications and. Section 5 provides for transportation procedures. Nuts must properly packed before transportation can take place. Section 6 a person shall not acquire nuts from a grower unless he is an authorized contractor. Sections 7 and 8 deal with Inventory registers that must be kept by who handles, deals, stores, packs, peels and treats with groundnuts. The register shall report any transaction of any kind of nuts, with related dates, name of provider and quantity. Section (9) to (11) prohibit the holding, transporting and passing of ground-nuts, exceeding a 50 kg quantity unless by a grower or an authorized contractor. Any transportation of nuts, exceeding a 50 kg quantity, must be accompanied with a consignment note. Sections 12-15 give general information.
