National Parks and Nature Reserves (Amendment N. 5) Law, 1982

This amendment concerns the change of the principal Law title, known as the National Parks and Nature Reserves Law 1963, into National Parks, Nature Reserves and National Sites Law, 1963 (section 1). In section 2 of this amendment a new chapter is added. The recently added Chapter 7 concerns definition and declaration of a "memorial site", the responsibility of the local authority for its maintenance (section 42K), regulations to which the site is subject, expenses of establishment and maintenance (sects. 42I-42L). By replacement of section 48 no declaration of any such area will be done save in respect of any area assigned for that purpose in a duly approved "scheme".
