Organic Produce Regulation on preparations used during the production of organic plant produce No.5768 of 2008.

This Regulation consisting of 14 articles aims at providing for the use of pest-control products, or enhancement products during the production of organic produce. In particular, it deals with (i) sale; (ii) use; (iii) application for registration of a plant protection product; and (iv) conditions for the registration of a plant protection product and registration certificate. The Regulation establishes that (i) a plant protection product can be sold as an organic product only if registered in accordance with these Regulations; (ii) a plant protection product can be used only if it is a registered organic plant protection product (exceptions are indicated in paraghraph 3B); (iii) applications for registration of an organic plant protection product shall be submitted to the Director of the Plant Protection and Inspection Services in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; (iv) for a registered organic plant protection product a registration certificate is provided valid for a period of no more than three years; (v) a list of registered organic plant protection products is published on the website of the Plant Protection and Inspection Services of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; (vi) the registration of an organic plant protection product may be declined if the required conditions are not fulfilled
