Abstract
This Regulation, of 17 Sections, gives definitions and makes provisions for the exportation of seeds from Israel. Section (1) gives definitions. Section (2) prohibits the exportation of seeds unless all requirements listed in this regulation have been satisfied and the director of the Agricultural Production Supervision Service had found the seeds suitable for exportation. Section (3) to (5) set requirements for the approval of Potato and Clover seeds for exportation. Section (6) provides for inspection sowing of the seeds operated by the Official Laboratory and the delivery of a certificate. Sections (7), (8), (11) and (12) provide with packaging and labelling procedures for due to be exported seeds: the exporter shall label the packages of seeds with labels reporting the name of the exporter, a code number of the container from the seeds have been taken from, the seeds species and their sex, the date of inspection, the material used for the seeds disinfection. The director may authorize an exporter to set a label reporting other information. Section (9) provides with sampling procedures. Section (10) deals with the packaging of seeds; seeds will be packed in new containers in a way to prevent the mixing of variety and to keep the seeds complete cleanliness. Section (13) gives powers to the director to order a second inspection to a shipment whenever a suspect is emerged. Section (14) regards experimental shipments of seeds, authorized by the director of the Agricultural Production Supervision Service, for which this regulation, except for sections (7), (8), (11) and (12), shall not have power.
