Abstract
This Law makes provision for the measurement of supplied water. Any person shall supply water by measured supply. Exemption may be subject to conditions or unconditional (Section 2). Measured supply may be to each consumer separately or to a number of consumers (section 3). The Minister may order the owner of a water resource the measuring of water consumed or produced from water resources. Non-measured supply is allowed under specified conditions until information of a "measuring order" is given out (sec 5-6). Price and quantity of water shall be fixed between the parties or in accordance with provisions under sections 7-8. The Director is empowered to inspect and supervise compliance with the provisions of this law. Under sections 10-12 offences and penalties are established. The Minister of Agriculture is encharged to implement and make provisions as to the installation, replacement and maintenance of water meters, mutual duties and rights of suppliers and consumers, separate measuring for different categories of consumption, reports submission, fees.
